Despite a dominant first-half performance from Tahiti United that included a VAR-disallowed goal and several near misses by Teaonui Tehau, Bula FC secured a victory thanks to a decisive second-half brace from substitute Setareki Hughes. After surviving Tahiti's early pressure and creating a near-miss of their own when Roy Krishna hit the crossbar, Bula FC capitalized on a slower second half till Setareki Hughes broke the deadlock by pouncing on a long ball over the top, then doubled the lead five minutes later with a powerful strike into the far corner.
