Despite falling behind early to South Island United’s Ryan Feutz strike in the 17th minute, South Melbourne responded with a relentless four-goal barrage before halftime, sparked by quick-fire goals from wingers Arran Cocks and Max Mikkola. An own goal from a long throw-in and a Jordan Swibel poacher’s effort further extended the lead. Although Oliver Fay pulled one back late for South Island United, South Melbourne’s first-half dominance proved insurmountable, securing their spot in the final four with a game to spare in the Leaders Group.
