After a tight 2-2 draw between the sides in the group stage, AS PTT produced a far more clinical performance in the playoff, weathering early pressure before captain James Namuli sparked a four-goal surge that put them firmly in control by halftime. Southern Legions fought hard and grabbed consolation goals in each half but AS PTT’s experience, defensive organisation and sharp finishing proved decisive, highlighted by strong goalkeeping from Yoann Nanyakarawa and a relentless second-half push. The New Caledonian club add a bronze medal to their growing legacy while Southern Legions conclude an impressive debut campaign with a fourth-place finish.
