Fiji secured their spot in Round 3 of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 Oceania Qualifiers with a hard-fought home victory over Vanuatu. Fiji’s Sofi Diyalowai netted the decisive goal in the 20th minute though Vanuatu aggressively pressured the hosts and created several strong chances throughout the match. Despite persistent equalizing efforts from Vanuatu, including Nettie Kalsau clipping the crossbar and a late save required from Fijian goalkeeper Ka’iulani Scott, Fiji held their nerve to claim the three points. This crucial win officially completes the semi-final lineup with Fiji joining Group B's Papua New Guinea and Group A's New Zealand and American Samoa in the next stage of qualification.
