Vanuatu secured their first victory with a hard-fought win over Tuvalu. After a goalless first half, Vanuatu broke through with goals from Justine Alick and Sandy Mesau before Tuvalu hit back through Taufaiva Nukualofa to set up a tense finish. Tuvalu pressed late in search of an equaliser but Vanuatu held firm to claim a vital three points.
