Description

Tahiti United revitalized their top-four ambitions with a dominant victory over Solomon Kings, fuelled by a spectacular second-half hat-trick from Germain Haewegene. Despite the late loss of captain Teaonui Tehau and falling behind to a Jez Lofthouse opener, Tahiti United responded immediately through a fine strike from Tevita Waranaivalu to level the score before the break. The second half belonged entirely to the French Polynesian side, as Haewegene scored just 25 seconds after the restart before adding two more goals alongside a Joseph Athale strike to capitalize on a defensive collapse by the Solomon Kings.
