Tonga secured third place after defeating New Caledonia 1-0. Despite an early setback with the loss of a key player, Tonga held their ground against New Caledonia's initial dominance. The match remained scoreless until the second half when Kuria Malohifo’ou capitalized on a rebound to put Tonga in the lead. New Caledonia fought hard to equalize but couldn't break through Tonga's defence, allowing Tonga to achieve a higher finish than in 2023.
