Led by Captain Maikah Dau's two goals, Fiji secured the top spot in Group A at the OFC U-16 Men's Championship with a victory over Papua New Guinea. Maikah Dau scored his first goal from a direct free kick in the 26th minute and later converted a penalty in the 83rd minute to seal the win. Despite the loss, Papua New Guinea still advanced to the semi-finals. With this win, Fiji remains undefeated and will face the Group B runners-up, while Papua New Guinea will play the Group B winners.
