In a dramatic Melanesian showdown, Mataks FC overcame Southern Legions FC in a high-scoring thriller to controversially secure their spot in the final for the second consecutive year. The Solomon Islands club took a strong 4-3 lead by halftime with goals from Eddie Kasute'e, Clifford Misitana, Calvin Do'oro and Captain Elis Mana who also found the net again in the second half. Mataks FC continued to dominate the second half, eventually sealing the victory with a final goal from Elis Mana, capping an incredible comeback to go unbeaten after starting the tournament with two losses.
