Description
Lebanon secured a victory over India, capitalising on key moments at both ends to take control of the contest. India came closest early on when Gunleiba Wangkheirakpham weaved past Marc Mansour and struck the post but defensive hesitation at a 26th-minute corner allowed Lebanon’s Antonie Assaf to curl the opener into the top corner. The lead doubled before halftime as Abbas Zreik danced into the box to tee up Paul Maakaroun, whose deflected strike left Rajrup Sarkar stranded. India pushed aggressively after the break but found no way past the assured Jason Finianos and their frustration culminated in a late red card for Thonggoumang Touthang as Lebanon closed out the win with authority.
