India produced a spirited comeback to defeat Chinese Taipei 3-1, overcoming an early setback before finishing with a decisive late surge. Hao-Wei Yang stunned the hosts inside three minutes to give Chinese Taipei the lead but India responded steadily and were rewarded just past the half-hour mark when Dallalmuon Gangte levelled the contest. Chinese Taipei remained organised deep into the second half yet India’s persistence told in the final stages as Dallalmuon Gangte completed his hat-trick with two quick-fire goals in the 77th and 79th minutes, securing all three points and bringing India level with Iran on four points in the standings.
