Description
Fiji made a strong start to the opening match with a dominant win over Tahiti. Captain Teonila Levuiciva opened the scoring early after two disallowed efforts before Adi Reva doubled the lead just before halftime. Despite Tahiti’s spirited response in the second half, Fiji’s defence remained solid. In the second half, Fiji secured the victory with a penalty kick converted by Kalisi Dama and a late goal from substitute Akanisi Katonitabua.
