Description

Fiji began their OFC U-19 Women’s Championship 2025 campaign with a hard-earned win over the Cook Islands. An early strike gave the Fiji the perfect start before the Cook Islands levelled midway through the first half, setting up a tense contest. Fiji regained control after the break and were rewarded when a goalkeeping error allowed them to restore their lead, which they defended strongly in the closing stages. The result puts Fiji top of Group A while the Cook Islands’ semi-final hopes now rest on Tonga’s ability to upset the hosts in the next match.
