Description
South Melbourne FC cruised into the inaugural OFC Pro League final with an emphatic victory over a fatigued Vanuatu United FC. After bringing their key players back into the starting lineup, the Australian side asserted dominance early with Jordan Swibel opening the scoring in the 17th minute with a clever near-post backheel. South Melbourne effectively sealed the match before halftime via an own goal forced by Jordan Swibel and a heavily deflected strike from Max Mikkola. Tommy Giannakopoulos added a fourth from close range in the 57th minute after Jordan Swibel hit the post, allowing the undefeated side to comfortably manage the remaining minutes and turn their focus in the final.
