Description

Despite a strong start and early lead by the Cook Islands, Tahiti rallied in the second half to win the 7th place match 2-1. Cook Islands captain Tauariki Nia scored first, but Tahiti's Anikua Nekrouf answered with an equalizer. An unfortunate own goal by the Cook Islands ultimately sealed their fate, giving Tahiti the victory despite a hard-fought effort.
